About Miles Ives

Miles Ives married Martha (unk) Buttry, widow of Nicholas Buttry who had died in September, 1636. [1]
1639: Miles Ives sold land in Cambridge, Massachusetts to John Jackson. [2] His wife Martha died on September 15, 1683, aged 77. [3]
Miles died at Watertown, Massachusetts on August 26, 1684. [3]
His inventory was assessed in October, 1684 at L200. In his will dated December 20, 1863, he names:
- son-in-law John Polley
- son in-law Lewis Allen
- grandson Abel Allen
- granddaughter Sarah Allen
- grandson Nathaniel Healey and his sister Grace Ireland
- daughter Mary Allen
- Martha Healey (?granddaughter)
- son James Hubbard of Cambridge, residual legatee [4]
The Healey grandchildren were the children of his step daughter, Grace (Buttry/Buttrice) Healey. [5]

- Sarah born on October 11, 1639 [3] [6]; married Lewis Allen of Watertown as his first wife. [7]
- Mary born on July 5, 1641 [3] [6]; died of small pox at Roxbury on August 30, 1666; married John Polley in 1664/5 as his second wife. [8]
- Hannah born on May 9, 1643 [3] [6]; died on November 24, 1690; married James Hubbard on January 8, 1667/8 as his second wife. [9]
- Ruhamah born ___; died on October 22, 1665. [3]
