About Milford W. Bengston
His daughter LaDonna writes in 2019: I don't know where to begin. This has been a puzzle to me for all the years. I had even had dreams about finding connections. My dad, Milford (better known as Huck in our area) had very dark hair with a deep widow's peak, such as I have. My brother, Myron Bengtson, has brown hair. He was right handed as my brother and I am. All of his grandchildren are right handed but one great grand is a lefty.
My dad was adopted from the orphan's home at Holdrege in 1910 at the age of 20 months and lived near Madrid, IA until 1920, when they moved to Kandiyohi County, Minnesota--Willmar and then the Kandiyohi area. He never wanted to find his parents as he felt he had been abandoned my his mother. Although, they did stop in Holdrege one time on a trip. Don't believe they did any inquiring which wouldn't have done much good as the orphanage only had a short note saying when he had come there and when he was adopted. My husband and I were at the reunion of the orphanage in 2003 and were welcomed by all.
Then in 2018 LaDonna's nephew sent her DNA to Ancestry and found a fairly close familial match to Kevin Olson. In 2019 Connie Olson Streeter and Julie Olson Johnson sent their DNA to Ancestry and found that they were FIRST cousins of LaDonna!! As a result Connie and Julie have been in contact with LaDonna.
