She attended school at Carnegie. On December 24, 1931, she married Ben Toahty. After his death, she later married Clifford Seahmer. Minnie was a founding member of the Angie Smith Memorial United Methodist Church. In her early years, she worked with the Women’s Society of Christian Service (WSCS), which later became United Methodist Women. She served as their Conference Treasurer for many years and held other offices in the organization. Minnie was a very active worker and servant in the life of the Oklahoma Indian Missionary Conference. She was the first lay delegate elected to the 1972 General Conference in Atlanta, Georgia.
