In which it is may be gathered that "the last Rabbi of Stupava", Rabbi Moritz Samuel Herzog was born 5 Nov 1869 (although the place name of Randegg is incorrectly given - N.B. clearly stated in official documents as being Trnava, Slovakia) and died on 8 June 1942. These details are accompanied by a photo of him for the first date and supported by a Red Cross correspondence card written by the family for the second date.
Unfortunately, no mention yet found here concerning fact that he must have married twice ...

LONDON (Sep. 22)
Chief Rabbi Herzog of Slovakia died of a heart attack recently while en route to a concentration camp together with his wife and children, the Federation of Czechoslovakian Jews here learned today. The rabbi, who was sixty, collapsed while being driven by the Slovakian police from his home at Stupava to the local railway station. His body was left lying in the street while his wife and children were placed on the deportation train, despite their tearful pleas to be allowed to remain long enough to bury him.
N.B. Age at time of death incorrect as, if he was born in 1869, he would have been 73 ...

Mose was murdered in the Shoah.

The honorable Avraham, may he rest in peace
Son of our teacher Rabbi Chaim, a Kohein (member of the priestly descendants of Aaron HaKohein)
He passed away with a good name on the first day of Passover, 1938.
His mother’s name was Malka.
May his soul be connected to the Source of all life.
