The following record of the Ryerson genealogy confuses the matter:
Was Moses' wife named Anna? Did Anna remarry and have more children?
110. JACOB RYERSON,^ (Jacob,* Martin,^ Jacobus,^ Martin'), son of Jacob Ryerson and Hiltje (Schenck) Ryerson, was b. Sept., 1775, and d. at Brooklyn, N. Y., Mar. 28, 1828. He married. Mar. i, 1799, Phoebe, dau. of George Debevoise and Elizabeth (dau. of Jeremiah) Vanderbilt. Phoebe (Debevoise) Ryerson

was also sister to Sally Debevoise, the wife of her husband's brother, Jeromus Ryerson. She was b. Mar. 19, 1779, and d. Aug. 20, 1849. Children:
I. HELEN, b. Sept. 12, 1800; d. June s, 1825; m. in 1820, John De Voe, b. 1792; d. 1868. (See De Veaux Gen.) They resided at Williamsburg. They had issue:
I. Jacob Ryerson Devoe, b. 1821: d. Dec. 27, 1827. II. ELIZ.^BETH, b. Nov. 13, 1802; m. Jeremiah Messerole. Resided in New York. Issue: I. Phoebe IVIesserole.
III. ANNA, b. Sept. 3, 1804; d. 1846; m., first, Moses Van Buren, and had issue:
I. William Edgar Van Buren, d. Dec. 9^ 1839, aged 3 years. There are also buried in Ryerson lot at Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn, as follows: Eliza Van Buren, b. May 4, 1837, 54 years, 5 months, 11 days; Julia Myers, wife of James Van Buren, who d. April 29, 1861, aged 23 years. Anna (Ryerson) Van Buren,
