Notes

2005 feb 17 letter to Warren Forsythe from Helen Bass Whitehead 3230 Patterson Ave, Richmond VA 23221 -- hbwhite (at) sbcglobal.net says Thomas Bass (ca 1700-ca 1769 probated Chesterfield Co VA) had a first wife Elizabeth Howlett who died June 1726 leaving only an infant son Thomas Bass. And no colonial-era document is known to Mrs Whitehead to support calling the dtr of second wife Mary, as Mary Taylor Bass [even though all of us compilers seemed to have believed that without documentary support]--rather than simply called the daughter of second wife as simply Mary Bass.

FORSYTHE'S BEST DOCUMENTATION: (even though no specific document is cited in support of Mary Bass name used) John Hale Stutesman's Moseley notebook on Richard5Arthur4Arthur3Arthur2Wm1 Moseley and wife MARY BASS !! is on LDS FHL salt lake card catalog under microfilm #1573683 item 11 (eleven);

FROM 1689 onward Henrico Co VA original source documentation: I just 27 Dec 2004 received the LDS Salt lake Family History Library film number that will be assigned to "Moseley family, Chesterfield, VA" i.e. an abridged version of John Hale Stutesman's research notebooks that used original documents to make his discovery of the family tree descendancy of the Moseley families that moved into the James River [Henrico Co VA then] area by 1689. That family tree discovery was the documentary foundation for much of our

MOSELEY Book 1 of 2 genealogy publication in summer 2000. --probably the microfilm won't be available for order from local (Mormon system &some major genealogical libraries too) family history centers for a month or two, but the order number has been assigned during the filming process and will be #1573683 item 11 (eleven);
