About Muriel Barbara Clark
WATERVILLE -- Muriel B. (Jackson) Clark, 53, of New Vineyard passed away Thursday, March 20, 2008, following a long battle with cancer with her family by her side at MaineGeneral Hospital's Thayer Campus in Waterville.
She was born October 6, 1954, in Farmington, a daughter of Willard and Minnie (Perry) Jackson who predeceased her.
Her life revolved around seasonal work that was dear to her heart. She was brought up as a young child picking berries as a family tradition along with making Christmas wreaths. When married, she carried along these family traits to her family. She also ran her "Brookside Barn Antiques" store in New Vineyard that she enjoyed. One of her businesses that she really loved was her mushroom stand where she and her family would bring in and train workers from all around.
She will be missed by her survivors including her husband, Herman Clark of New Vineyard; five children, Tammy Whittemore and her husband, Troy of Skowhegan, Melissa Palo and her fiancé, Ed Buzzell of Detroit, Marietta Clark of New Vineyard, Timothy Clark of New Vineyard and Jerry Clark and his wife, Beth of Anson; six grandchildren; 12 siblings, Willard Jackson and his wife Linda of Lewiston, Raymond Jackson and his wife, Joann of Poland, George Jackson and his wife, Sylvia of Kenai, Ark., Richard Jackson and his wife, Jeanne of Jay, Lillian Flagg and her husband, William of Turner, Romona Hale and her husband, William of Sarasota, Fla., Marcia Chretien and her husband, Maurice of Livermore Falls, Theresa Violette of Buckfield, Wanita Lagasse of Lewiston, Betty Tripp and her husband Gary of Auburn, Linda Chretien and her husband, James of East Livermore and Joanne Jackson and her companion, Timothy Hasting of Wilton; several other family members including aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends who knew her as a business lady.
Family and friends are invited to a time of memorial visitation, 4-6 p.m., Monday, March 24, 2008, at the Wiles Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Rd., Rtes. 2 and 27, Farmington. Gifts may be given in Muriel's memory to Dog's Paradise, c/o Melissa Palo, 61 River Rd., Detroit, ME 04929.
