Nancy Ann (Yeats / Yates) Theakston - Collins - Grant [Convict "Lady Penrhyn" 1788]

Nancy YEATS (aka YATES, YEATES, aka Ann) was born c1767

Nancy was convicted of burglary and sentenced to 7 years transportation. She arrived in Sydney Cove on 26/1/1788 on "Lady Penrhyn"

Nancy had a relationship with Joseph THEAKSTON and they had the following children

• Joseph YATES - born enroute - baptised 16/3/1788

Nancy was sent to Norfolk Island on 14/2/1788

Nancy had a relationship with Captain David COLLINS and they had the following children

• Marianne Laetitia COLLINS 13/9/1790
• George Reynolds COLLINS 25/4/1794

David left the colony on 29/9/1796 on "Brittania" leaving Nancy and their children behind.

Nancy married John GRANT on 13/11/1800 (there is conflicting information that she married James GRANT - Marine "Friendship" 1788

NOTE: Nancy did NOT leave Australia in 1796 and return in 1798. David left her behind in 1796 and the Nancy YATES who arrived in 1798 was another convict

• Ann "Nancy" YATES, convict "Brittania" arrived 1798 married Joseph MORLEY
