Nancy is buried in Beloit, Wisconsin in Oakwood Cemetery. Buried next to her are her sons Foster and Dexter and their families. She moved there with her son Foster, sometime after 1850 and before 1855.
Nancy, age 74, was living with her son Dexter in Leicester, Mass. on the 1850 census.

Nancy Dunbar Bemis (Mrs. Amasa Bemis) born in 1775, in Leicester, Massachusetts, and died October 1855, in Roscoe Township, Illinois and was buried there. She was re-interred in Oakwood Cemetery, Lot 210, Grave 3, Beloit, where a grave marker was placed by Beloit Chapter. Amasa Bemis (October 10, 1757-November 21, 1842) was a Sergeant in the Revolution. Nancy Dunbar, his second wife was the daughter of Thomas Dunbar (August 1, 1750 - April 15, 1796) and Lucretia Smith. Thomas Dunbar held the rank of Sergeant in the Revolution.
