Naomi Flanders was summoned to court to acknowledge that her child was illegitimate on 29 April 1684. Father was John Darling.

Naomi acknowledged that her child was illegitimate when summoned to court at Ipswich, MA in 1682, but she didn’t reveal the name of his father. When he was born, Naomi named him John Darling, so perhaps Jonathan or John, son of George and Katherine (Gridley) Darling is the best guess, and he is the one used in these Darling family records. Jonathan may have had two illegitimate children with Naomi Flanders, but the father of Naomi's sons John or Daniel may have also been Jonathan's father George. --Vonice Family tree
