About Narciso Lapuz
Narciso was incarcerated in 1945 by the American colonial government for treason. He had served as secretary to General Artemio Ricarte under the Japanese occupation forces in Manila. A few months after his release from prison, he would be killed.
Estrella Carpio, who had been living with him since the 1930s, would be referred to as his wife even if they were not married (although she was referred to as his concubine in one American government document). He and his wife Concepcion obtained a divorce in the US, which was not recognized by the American colonial government (since divorce was not legal in the Philippines).

Data on his profile and that of his ex-wife and children were passed on to me by a relative of a co-genealogist who recently passed away. That co-genealogist was working on linking the Lapuz / Lapus families of Pampanga and of Cabiao, Nueva Ecija. My interest in her work was because members of the Malabon de Sevilla family married into the Pampanga branch of Lapus / Lapuz family.
