About Narcisse-Zéphirin Lorrain
He was born to a humble family of farmers. His father Narcisse Lorrain and mother Sophie Gohier raised seven children, and he was the eldest.
At age 14, Narcisse-Zepherin entered the seminary of St. Therese where he made his full course of 1856 to 1864. He also studied theology and taught, while living his years of seminary at St. Therese. He became an ordained priest in Montreal on August 4, 1867.
