Dr. Weidenthal,76, Dies at Home

Dr. Nathan Weldenthal, 76, practlclng physician here for nearly 40 years died yesterday at his home 1270l Phillips Avenue, East Cleveland, after an iIIness of two months. His funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon At 2 tn Deutch's Funeral Home. Burial will be In Mayfleld Cemetery.

Dr. Weidenthal was born in Cleveland. July 17, 1855. His father, the late Bernard Weidenthal, was one of the flrst Jewish settlers in Cleveland,coming to this city in 1849.

From 1894 to 1900 Dr. Weldenthal was professor of general pathology at the medical school at Wooster and from 1901 to 1910 was an associate professor of children's dlseases, in the College or Physicians and Surgeons, a former medical school in this city.

Dr. Weldenthal was physician for the Montefiore Home for Aged and lnfirm Israelites, 3151 Mayfield Road, Cleveland Heights, from 1887 until 1925, when he retired from that position.

He also engaged in general practice until a short time ago. Dr. Weldenthal's hobby was raising plgeons. He was regarded as an authority on pigeons and wrote. extensively on that subject under the pen name of W. W. Dale.

He is survIved by his widow, Mrs. Ernistine Newman Weidenthal: by five daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Lorden, Mrs. Gertrude Glick. Mrs. Pauline Abram and Misses Ethel and Phyllls Weldenthal, and by one son, Arthur Weldenthal.
