[This is the first reference to a Nathaniel Dickenson. Based upon the date, this Nathaniel was born prior to 1690 and was possibly a grandson of the Griffin Dickinson who married Elizabeth Springall in London in 1649 and possibly the son of John (1681, 1682, 1684 and 1687 in New Kent Co.) or William(1686 in New Kent Co.) St. Paul's Parish was formed in 1704 from the western portion of St. Peter's Parish. The parish line was used to establish the boundary of the newly formed Hanover County in 1720.]
"May 14, 1742 - Caroline Co., VA: Griffeth Dickerson, Sarah his wife, and Elizabeth Dickerson acknowledged their deed of feoffment with livery of seizin endorsed to Samuel Luck which is ordered to be recorded. (Caroline County Order Book 1740-1746, page 108). Griffeth Dickerson acknowledged his deed of gift to his brother Nathaniel Dickerson. Sarah wife of Griffith relinquished all her right and title in the said land by the sd. deed given. (Caroline County Order Book 1740-1746, page 108) [This Griffith Dickerson, wife Sarah, was not the Griffith married to Ann Cosby.
