Nathaniel Mullins was born 2 Mar 1786 in Hillsborough District, Randolph County,
North Carolina. Nathaniel Mullins married Margaret "Peggy" Wilson 29 Oct 1807 in Rowan
County, North Carolina. Margaret "Peggy" Wilson was the daughter of Boyd Wilson and
Nancy Sluder. Nathaniel Mullins died on a winter trip down the Guyandotte River taking timber
to Huntington, West Virginia. On the trip the temperature dropped very low and several of the men
nearly froze to death. It was Mar of 1845 when Nathaniel Mullins died on this trip. He is buried
in an unmarked grave near Barboursville, Cabell County, West Virginia. Margaret died on 15 May
1865 in Logan County, West Virginia . She is buried in the Mullins Cemetery at Cora, Logan
County, West Virginia.
The family Bible of Nathaniel Mullins has survived to this time and provides us the birth dates and
information. We are very thankful for its preservation.
