This Nathaniel was a blacksmith by trade and a farmer. He married Irene Sprague. He was the son of Samuel Wright (May 16, 1675 at Northampton, Mass. died April 18, 1734 at Lebanon, CT where he had relocated). Married Rebecca Sikes of Springfield, Massachusetts. His farm is in what now is called Columbia, CT. Children: James, Samuel, Preserved, Nathaniel, Ebenezer, Benoni, Lydia, Rebecca, Esther.


Nathaniel Wright was a blacksmith by trade. He was born in Columbia Parish, Lebanon, CT. Jan 19, 1711 and died Nov. 26, 1796. His wife was Irene Sprague, daughter of Ephraim Sprague and they had 10 children. Irene Sprague's ancestors were among the earliest settlers in Plymouth Colony, Massachusetts, arriving on the ship Little James in 1623.
Nathaniel and Irene's son Asher served in the Continental Army with Nathan Hale, who was his cousin.
