In June 1900 Nellie (14 y, born in July 1886 in Illinois) her father Garret Koedyker (56, April 1844, Netherlands, farmer), her mother Grace (54, January 1846, Netherlands), and her siblings Nick (21, October 1879, Netherlands, farm laborer) and Annie Randhan (28, June 1872, Netherlands, widow) lived at a rented farm in Calumet Township, Lake County, in the utter northwestern part of Indiana.
Her father George or Garret Koedyker was killed on 1 January 1902 at Highland, Lake County, Indiana at the age of 59 years when he and his horse were hit by a passing train.
In 1910 Nellie Koedyker (23, Indiana) and her mother Grace Koedyker (64, widow) lived at the home of her brother Nicholas G Koedyker (30 y, Holland) in Calumet Township, Lake County, Indiana, with his wife Minnie E (24, Illinois) and their son Elmer S (0, Indiana).
Nellie Koedyker (almost 35 y, born in Dyer, Lake County, Indiana, residing in Gary, Indiana) married on 21 July 1921 in her groom's residence place Rapelje, Montana to the seven years younger Nickolas J Kikkert, born in Munster, Lake County, Indiana too, and widower since about 1920 of Grace Vander Pol. Rapelje is an unincorporated farming and ranching community in northern Stillwater County, Montana, founded in 1917 and located 24 miles north of Columbus, the seat and only town of Stillwater County. Rapelje area had a population of approximately 110 people as of the 2000 census.
In 1930 Nellie (44, Illinois), her husband Nick Kikkert (37, Indiana) and their children Mildred (17, Indiana), Leroy (5, Indiana), Ruth (12, Indiana), Alice (12, Indiana), Grace (9, Montana) and Joan (7, Montana) lived at Vander Pol (?? This is the Dutch surname of Nicholas'first wife Grace. Should it have been Rapelje ??), Stillwater County, in the mid eastern part of Montana, just north of Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming.
In May 1940 Nellie (53), her husband N J Kikkert (45, car salesman at a garage) and their children Leroy (25, common construction laborer), Alice (22), Grace (19) and Joan K (17) lived at an own home, worth $600, in Columbus, the seat and only town of Stillwater County, Montana. In 1935 they lived at a rural place in Stillwater County.
Nellie and Nick Kikkert both died in Augustus 1951 in Wyoming (source unknown) at the age of 65 and 58 years.
