Neville (75), a retired music teacher who was unmarried and lived alone in Krugersdorp, was murdered at his home on 6th January 2014. His body was found in the garden under a tree by his gardener. He sustained wounds to his face and head.
A member of the community policing forum went to investigate and noticed a strange pile under a tree in the backyard and came across the gruesome find. Neville's body was wrapped with a large blood-soaked cloth that usually hung over his couch. The murderer had covered his body with branches and grass. He had an open wound on his face, there was blood in the house and on the grass outside.
The murderer (31), who lived in Johannesburg, confessed about the murder to a waitress and her manager at a restaurant in Durban, who in turn immediately called the police and he was arrested shortly after. He was held at the Krugersdorp police station. Col. Luke Enslin from the Krugersdorp police office said the suspect will appear in the Krugersdorp Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
Neil Ross (40), Neville's nephew, sais his uncle did not deserve to die like this. As Neil lives in England he flew to South Africa after the news."Because my uncle had no children, he raised me and my two brothers as his own."
