First settler at Wells, Rutland County, Vermont. in 1768. Built the first framed barn. Voted Postmaster for Wells. He was asked to locate the first burying ground. 1781 Census Greenfield Ct VT d 1811Wells, Rutland, Vt. = Sarah Mallory bp 5 Aug 1733 Fairfield (She was his first cousin, daughter of Zaccheus Mallory and Sarah Rise) Ogden Mallory was the first settler of Wells, Vt. He served as a selectman and constable and delegate to Conventions of 1776 and 1777. (DAR 41123)
