BIOGRAPHY Oldrich II z Hradce was born about 1250 in the castle of Hradec Jindrichuv, the son of Oldrich I z Hradce and Marie Magdalena von Hardegg. He and his wife Mechtilda von Schaumburg had four children: Eliska (married to Smil z Kunstatu); Anna (married to Eberhard von Walsee); Anezka (married first to Menhart von Lesnig, then to Vernhart von Schaumburg) and Oldrich III (married first to Margareta von Kärnten, then to Klara z Bilkova).
Oldrich, with the king's permission, invited eight Jewish families to settle in the town of Hradec Jindrichuv in 1294, and at the time he arranged confirmation of the ancient right of passage through the town. In 1297 citizens_(civis)_were first mentioned in Hradec Jindrichuv. Oldrich died about 1312, and was succeeded by Oldrich III.
