Ole Olsen (Roen) Blingsmoen,was confirmed at the Nes Church on June 20, 1813. At that time he was known as Ole Olsen Skandsen.. Ole moved to the Roen farm in Nes Hallingdal where he took his Roen surname and married Kari Knudsdotter Solem (Solheim) at the young age of 19 in the Nes Parish on Oct 9, 1815. Kari was 8 years his senior, The sponsors at his wedding were Knud Iversen Roen and Ole Olsen Onsgaard.

Ole was 63 years old in the 1856 immigration to USA,(his parents were Ole Olsen& Barbro Hendrichsdtr in Norway).

Exact date of death is not known, between 1860-1870. Gravestone is missing, fire at church destroyed early burial records
