Birth: Jul. 13, 1821, Norway Death: Jan. 22, 1896 Kingsbury County South Dakota, USA

Born in Norway immigrated to Wisc,1848,After 25 years in Iowa, Ole staked claims to the Dakota Territory (Now Alliance TWP, Moody County, South Dakota). Ole had his photo taken in Rock Rapids, MN near where his daughter was living in Iowa. Around 1890, Ole and Sonneva moved to Kingsbury co near Hetland, SD. The Oleson- Blinsmon family found the situation in South Dakota favorable. Neither learned to speak or read English. Ole lived in South Dakota almost 20 years before he died in Jan 1896 age 75. He is buried in Lake Whitewood cemetery in a grave that simply says: FATHER.
