Vedum, Johannes Johannes married Anna Tostensdatter. Anna was born in 1794 in Oyer Township in
Oppland County, Norway. Johannes died before 1865. Anna was a pensioned widow living
with her son, Ole, on the Vedum nedre Opistu farm in 1865 (Nor Cen, 1865, Oyer). Known children: Ole, b. Jul 10, 1818, Oyer; bp. Jul 17, 1818 (see Vedum, Ole Johannessen) Vedum, John Johnson s of Ole Johnson Vedum (see) and Kari Kristensdtr. John was born on April 26, 1845 at Vedum, Gudbrandsdalen (an extended valley
running from Lesjaskogsvatn southeastwards to Mjosa), Oyer Township, Oppland County,
Norway. He emigrated in 1867, leaving Liverpool, England on May 10, 1867 and arriving at
the port of New York. John declared his intent to become a naturalized citizen on April 3,
1871 in Juneau County. John was married about 1885 to Mathea Anderson. Mathea was born in 1860 in Nymoen, Norway. John and Mathea settled in Fountain
Township where all of their children were born. In 1905 and 1914, they lived in Plymouth
Township (section 8, 120 acres; section 4, 40 acres; Elroy P.O.). They had lived in the
county for 28 years. John became a naturalized citizen in April 1914. He died on November
1, 1921 and was buried on November 4, 1921. Mathea died in 1950. They were buried in
the East Lemonweir Cemetery (Wis Cen, 1905, Plymouth #104; JCGS Cem Bk 3, p. 232;

Kristensdtr. Kari, the dau of Kristen Bryhn and Marie Skaadin, was born on June 22, 1817
and baptized on June 29, 1817 in Gudbrandsdalen, Norway. Ole and Kari emigrated from Oier in 1868 and joined the East Lemonweir Church in
1869. They settled in New Lisbon where they lived a few years. Later they moved to Beaver
and Vedum, Wisconsin. Soon after the family moved onto a farm in Plymouth Township.
Kari died on November 20, 1909 in Plymouth Township aged 92 years, 4 months, and 28
days and was buried on November 23, 1909. Ole died on April 1, 1911 in Plymouth
Township and was buried on April 5, 1911. They were buried in the East Lemonweir
Cemetery (Nor Cen, 1865, Oyer; JCGS Cem Bk 3, p. 237; obit, Elroy Leader, Feb 16, 1928;
