cf. main source of information on sister "Lisl WEIL" - though it would appear that Olga was not officially adopted by Isidor WEIL she was considered as oneof his two "daughters" when he married mother Eugenie (N.B. unfortunately record of marriage not traceable but other documents prove this relationship). Olga was, anyway, already married at the time Isidor officially adopted sister Lisl. She had a son with him in circa 1922 but subsequently divorced her husband Alois MEDINA

(N.B. error in transcription of year of marriage).

Olga - later using the name Ollie - managed to emigrate successfully to the USA., (N.B. no actual immigration record yet traced), where she was particularly helpful towards her sister Lisl on her arrival there.

In 1940 both sisters - and Olga's son George MEDINA - were living with a man named Max RANDOLPH who presumably became Olli's second husband.

In circa 1946, the two sisters attempted to claim compensation for the loss of “father” Isidor WEIL’s textile business when it was Aryanised in 1938. An exchange of correspondence on this matter results in their learning that the store premises were bombed and that no financial restitution is on offer...

At the same time several valuable details about the family are revealed. Especially, there appears to be confirmation that Isidor WEIL actually married mother Eugenie, divorced WEISZ/WEISS, née SCHWARZ. This makes absolute sense of the subsequent adoption of Lisl by “stepfather” Isidor. As other records show that sister Olga – later known as Ollie – was already married (MEDINA) and had a son at this time (1923), she was not included in this early adoption but official papers may exist somewhere for a later date. (post 1926 divorce perhaps?).
