The very tender inscription reads:

"Hier ruht unser Liebstes, unser Glück und unser Stolz ...

Der zärtlichste Gatte.

Der gütigste Vater.

Der edelste Mensch".

"Here lies our most beloved, our joy and our pride ...

The most affectionate spouse.

The most kind-hearted father.

The most noble person."

Isidor WEIL was mainly involved in a textile business located at Rudolfgasse 7, Wien.

He apparently resided, however, at Lammgasse 12, Wien.

In the 1923 LEHMANN's Vienna address book (and in several others), Isidor is listed at both his home AND business address. The former tallies exactly with the address provided on Lisl's birth record for the "Jewish merchant Isidor WEIL" who is adopting her in that year.

WEIL Isidor, Manufaktorwrhdl, I, Rudolfsplatz 7

In the 1935 LEHMANN's Vienna address book both he AND his wife Eugenie are listed separately as living at that "home" address:

WEIL Isidor, Kaufm., XIII, Lammgasse 12

cf. main sources of information on adopted daughter "Lisl WEIL".

Lipot & Eugenie WEISZ/WEISS divorced in 1916, It appears - frustratingly no marriage record yet traceable but much other evidence to support this relationship - that Eugenie subsequently married Isidor WEIL who then officially adopted the unmarried daughter Lisl in 1926. It seems likely that the other daughter Olga "Ollie", married & divorced MEDINA was also later officially recognised by Isidor. The biological father, ex-husband of Eugenie, Lipot committed suicide in 1936.

The adoption of - only Lisl not her sister Olga it seems - took place in Wien on 27 March 1923. Isidor WEIL is described as being a "Kaufmann in Wien".

Several mentions of him in newspapers of era, supported by details given in the claim made by the two sisters, Ollie MEDINA-RANDOLPH & Lisl WEIL in 1946 (cf. their respective profiles) confirm further found facts on this individual's identity.

Here is one example: (also actually shown under "Media")

N.B. Both Leopold WEISZ & Isidor WEIL were born in Lewenz, Leva, Levice so it is likely that they did know each other ...
