Enlisted in Provintial Regiment on foot of Minute Men Commanded by Col. John Whitcomb. (Massachusetts Archives, Rev. Rolls, XIII, 84) "Oliver Powers appears with rank of private on Lexingom Alarm Roll of Capt. Samuel Sawyer's Company, Col.
