About Orval Clyde FOX, Sr.
Birth: Jul. 27, 1910 Death: Sep. 5, 2004
Orval Clyde Fox, Sr. passed away of natural causes to join his beloved Luacine on September 5, 2004. The eldest of four children, he was born on July 27, 1910 in Bingham, Utah to Clyde Samuel Fox and Annie Kirkham. During the Depression his family moved to Salt Lake City where he met and married his beloved Luacine Savage Clark. They married in the Salt Lake Temple. Orval's life was one of service. He avoided the limelight and would always try to change the subject whenever anyone spoke well of him in his presence. He served in bishoprics for the 20th Ward in the Salt Lake Avenues, and as Bishop for part of that time. He and Luacine joyfully served an LDS senior mission at the Nauvoo, Illinois Visitor's Center. He is survived by his brother Leo (Marilyn); his three children: Orval Jr. (Joan), Reuben (Sherri) and Marianne Fox Leavitt (Mel); and eight grandchildren. Funeral services held at the Twentieth Ward on 107 "G" Street on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004. Published in the Salt Lake Tribune from 9/9/2004 - 9/10/2004.
