Oscar Askeli

Oscar immigrated to the U S April 4,1898, moving to Sand Coulee Montana where he worked as a coal miner. Sometime after 1914 the family moved to Blind Slough, Oregon (outside Astoria Or) Astoria had a large migration of Finnish immigrants.

During the 1940 census they lived in Ainsle Election Precinct, Lewis, Washington. Oskar and Ida had a farm about 2 mi south of Winlock Wa. In an area know locally as Finn Hill.
