17 Sept 1942: Oscar H, Bowman, of Campbelltown, died at 12:10 o'clock this morning at his residence. Death was due to complications after being bedfast for the past five weeks. Mr. Bowman was born and raised in the Quentin section and moved to the Campbelltown region twenty-seven years ago. He was eighty-two years of age.
The deceased was a member of the Salem Reformed Church, Campbelltown and was well known as a faithful and active worker in all church activities. For a period of ten years in succession, Mr. Bowman attended Sunday school services with a perfect attendance record. He was well known in the community and his pleasing personality attracted many friends and companions.
