About Oscar Olen Sitzes
Married to Beulah E. Worley Sitzes. Son of Joshua Morrison Sitzes and Nancy Jane Shipley.
Oscar Olen Sitzes died at his home in Pilot Point at 11 am Thursday following an illness of about two years.
Funeral services will be held at the Central Christian Church at 3 pm Saturday under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Pilot Point. Dr. Geren Roberts of Rest Cottage will officiate. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery.
A native of the Bloomfield community northeast of Pilot Point, Mr. Sitzes lived all his life in or near Pilot Point. He was a retired farmer and stockman. Mr. Sitzes married Beulah Worley of Aubrey in 1911. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Raymond Sitzes of Grand Prairie, and Oscar Jean Sitzes of Abilene; two sisters, Miss Willie Sitzes and Mrs. Lee Sanders, both of Pilot Point; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Pallbearers will be Johnnie Sitzes, Wayne Sitzes, Claud Sitzes, G.A. Shipley, Earl Shipley, Almer Sanders, J M Davis, and Dolph Burch
