20 March 1959 (no newspaper information given) "Audy" Hubbard Dies at 66 Audrene Hubbard, 66 year old Newton World War I Veteran, died at 10 p.m. Wednesday in St Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham, where he was a patient 11 days. He had been in failing health for some time. The body is at the Reese Funderal home, but funeral arrangements were incomplete at press time Thursday. Mr. Hubbard was born Aug. 20, 1892 in Jasper County, a son of Adam and Annie (Oberholtzer) Hubbard. He was a member of the Central Christian Church of Newton and of Jasper Post No. 20 of the American Legion. Mr. Hubbard is survived by an uncle, Ralph Oberholtzer of Wheeler, and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Lola Hubbard of Champaign. A brother Ercel preceded him in death.
