Patience Phinney was born to John and Sarah (Lumbart) Phinney Sept 12, 1704 at Barnstable, Massachusetts.[2]

Patience Phinney, daughter of Deacon John Phinney, had her intention to marry James Coleman recorded at Barnstable, Massachusetts, January 5, 1727-8.[3] Patience and James married March 12, 1727-8. Their daughter, Martha, was born January 31, 1728-9[4]

Patience (Phinney) Coleman, widow, died at age 80, at Barnstable, Massachusetts Feb 29, 1784.[5]

Unproven Spouse

"No evidence was found to substantiate the claim that this Patience Phinney was the one who married in Plymouth in 1719 Ebenezer Holmes, when she should have been under 15 years of age."[1]
