In the 1784 Tax List (Poll Tax Tithable, not property tax) of Bladen Co., NC, Ralph Regan is listed "for Edw'd Harrison child - 900 acres." paying tithes on Sarah Ann who later married Jonathan Singletary(1769-1865). Edward Harrison was killed at the Battle of Elizabethtown, NC in 1781.In1792, This means the mother of Sarah (Harrison) Parker-Singletary was adopted and her mother was native.
