This contingient of Chicasaw got separated from the tribe of Mingo Thomas Underwood, Chicasaw due to war era times and had come over from the western side of Louisianna to escape being enslaved by the Spanish/French who kept trading land back and forth to disrequard treaties in place.

1774 Martin Co. was formed and in same area as deed work for the Needham Bryan(t) in Johnson Co. properties of "Indian" Needham Bryant who married Edith Smith whose will inks to this son mentioned in the above will....the generation one step down links the Cain and the King families.

Robert Kedar Bryant was their son; living in Jan 22nd 1827 in Bertie.. (It's possible that Sally was currently impregnated before the death of Needham,) Sampson County, died June 9th 1898 Scotts Hill Pender County.

They had the following children: Loverd, Edna, Benjamin, Clement, Redla, William, Sarah, Larry, Philemon, and Lewis. At the beginning of the Revolutionary War, Needham was commissioned a captain in the Johnston County militia.
