Biography

MInqua Anny Bryant, Chicasaw was born circa 1754 in Yadkin Valley area VA/NC . Her parents were Mingo Needham Bryan/t and Edith (Smith) Bryan - Folsom.

Anny married Cannon Cumbo, Sr., Patriot & Shikori Lumbee circa 1774 in North Carolina. Together they had the following children: Solomon Cumbo / - Shikori; Stephen Cumbo; Virgina Cumbo; Aaron Cumbo; James Cumbaa; Elisha Cumbo; Mary Cumbo.

She died in 1808 in Bertie Co, NC .

Israel Folsom, mother of Edith Bryan DAWSON, grandmother of Martha Burell DAWSON, g grandmother of George Folsom Goodwin. In the name of God, Amen. I, Edith Folsom, of the County of Johnston in the State of North Carolina, being in perfect health and of sound mind and memory, blessed be to God, do this day make and publish this my last will and testament in the manner following, that is to say:

l. Item: I give and bequeath to my beloved son, William Bryan, the sum of five shillings current money to him and his heirs and assigns. 2. Item: I give and bequeath to my beloved son, Samuel Bryan, five shillings current money to him and his heirs and assigns. 3. I give to my beloved son, Needham Bryan, two Negroes, namely Pollidore and Filles, one breeding mare by the name of Junis, one feather-bed and furniture and three cows and calves, two heifers, to him and his heirs and assigns. 4. Item: I give to my beloved daughter, Barbara Marcy five shillings current money to her and her assigns. 5. Item: I give to my beloved daughter, Edith Folsom, five shillings current money to her and her assigns. 6. Item: I give to my beloved daughter, Selah Watkins, five shillings current money, to her and her assigns. 7. Item: I give to my beloved daughter, Elizabeth Alford, five shillings current money, to her and her heirs and assigns. 8. I give to my beloved daughter, Esther Bryan, five shillings current money to her and her heirs and assigns. 9. I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter, Ann Bryan, one feather bed and furniture, two cows and calves, and heifer, to her and her heirs and assigns; and all the rest and residue of my goods and chattels after all my just debts and funeral charges being paid, between my two youngest children, Needham and ANNY BRYAN; and I do constitute my loving brother, Samuel Smith, Executor of this my will and testament, utterly revoking all other and former wills and bequests made by me. In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 29th day of July, 1791.
