About Pavica Letica (Kržanić)
Pavica arrived in New Zealand 6 Jan 1925. she was married within the week. (14 Jan 1925)
She went to the boarding house of Luka and Mare Dean. Luka was her stepmother's brother. Luka Dean was 1st cousin to Dide Ante, through the female/Milicic lineage. Andrea Devcich, a tailor, and brother of Mare Dean, made the wedding dress. The wedding photo always graced the living room of the farm house.
Baba Pavica lived on the farm at Karaka all her working life, retiring to Auckland only because it became too much to care for Dida Ante, a victim of a stroke. The Dairy farm, supplied fresh milk for the "Town Supply" this meant milking cows seven days a week, twice a day. The farm was then worked by son George.
On the passenger list for Orama that left "Ragusa" 21/Nov 1924 and arrived Fremantle 15/12/1924, was a Miss P Krnsicacic. (note spelling) Her passport was stamped in Sydney on 30 Dec 1924.
