Per Andersson Westberg

Per was the third child of Anders Persson and Elin Olsdotter. (The first child died.) Per and his sibs were born on a small farm in the western part of the Varmland.

One day Per and his older brother, Anders, traveled to Olme in the eastern part of Olme. Pers and Anders worked on farms. Later Per learned the trade of carpenter and blacksmith. He became a miller and was given charge of the community's flour mill, located on the waterfall of Olman at the Estate of Treforms.

Per married Maria Nilsson. They lived in a home provided by the Estate. They had 14 children, 7 boys and 7 girls.

Their 10th child was John Persson Westberg

In 1888 Per's 5th child (Per August) returned to Sweden and brought Per and his second wife back with him to Chicago. Per was then 65 years old. Maria Larsdotter was 61. For 20 years, Per and Maria lived with their children in Chicago and on a farm in INdiana with daughter Christina and son-in-law Fred Ehrenstrom and their family
