About Peter Thomas Kirstein
Peter Kirstein was a British computer scientist, sometimes called "the father of the Internet in Europe".
His work with the ARPANET and with the TCP/IP protocols while at University College London was instrumental in getting the UK connected to the Internet in 1973.
He was inducted into the Internet Hall of Fame in 2012, and received the Marconi prize in 2015.
