Peter Lässle was christened on February 22, 1680 Esslingener Landkreis, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, a son of Stephen and Anna Lässle; he married a woman by the name of Anna or Anna Catarina, Carnes. He came to America on the ship Allen which arrived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 11, 1729 as one of the members of the Church of the Brethren, with Alexander Mack as their leader, or elder. The Ephrata Cloister was his home until his death April 11, 1734. He is most likely buried at the "God's Acre" cemetery at the Ephrata Cloister, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
