He came to an inquiry on April 2, 1560 and acknowledged that he held the tenements that had previously been held by him and his father. The father and son had held tenements of the manor of Pasfield Hall, a tenement called Cachmans Heriett (20acres), a half acre of meadow called Serleshope, a cottage with 7 acres in Pashfield, and a croft of land called Petfyld.

He was fined 5 pounds for allowing his barn to be out of repair on 27 March 1572 and ordered to repair it before the Whitsun following.
