Peter Rucker was born in 1731 in Culpeper County, British Colony of Virginia, son of Thomas Rucker Sr (~1693 - 1763) and Elizabeth (Reynolds) Rucker (~1708 - 1788).

Peter married Sarah Wisdom (born in Orange County, Virginia in 1746; died in Mississippi in Mar 1808), daughter of John Wisdom and Ann Collins.

Peter Rucker lived in Adams, Mississippi in 1830. [1]

Land Indian Agent Claim No. 1895 for 400 acres from the British Government to widow Sarah RUCKER and children, Colby, Jonathan, Susanna, Catherine, George, and William RUCKER.

Land was situated in Claiborne Co on south side of Bayou Pierre above the mouth of a small creek called the Widow's Creek, 10 miles up Bayou Pierre from where it empties into the Mississippi River.
Claim was filed 11 October 1777, and rejected 27 April 1807.
In 1807 Sarah was named Sarah DAVIS.

Peter died in Jul 1775 in Natchez, Adams County, Mississippi aged ~44.
