Arrived in Philadelphia 3 Nov. 1750, with his Father, Mother, brothers and sisters.

Birth and Death records are very vague. Peter is said to have been killed by indians. Hi s property, 25 acres, which he purchased December 2, 1752, is now the town of Cementon, North ampton Co. PA At the time of purch ase it cosisted of 25 acres, and was survayed December 2 , 1752. (PA Archi ves, 3rd Series, Vol.26) His children moved to Bucks Co. PA

His brother,Joseph, placed the property up for sale. Conrad Leisering purchased all but 9 acres of it. The land was survayed, December 2, 1789.

Francis Jobson had photo copies of the inventory of Peters estate, which was settled Dec. 8 , 1756. (Appears to be in Bucks Co.) He left a wid ow "Mary or Catherine" and three children , two of whom were Peter and Jac ob. Mr. Jobson states in his letter that the childrens lines have been extended to 1965. I do not have that data, and am not sure that it still exists . Mr. Jobson lived in Chester County, PA

Preston Showalter, a good friend of Francis, was able to retreive so me of his records fro m his office before the family could distroy them. The bulk of his records were at his hom e and were distroyed by a fami ly member.

The late Max Showalter, who was a personal friend of Francis Jobson. Sa id, that if record s were distroyed, he would not know why.

Administration Book G, Philadelphia 71, No.68, 1756-57. Joseph Showalt er (his brother) wa s Administrator.

The death date, 1776, needs further study.

Dr. W.J. Showalter states that Peter and Jacob died in Bucks Co. PA

From a history of Northampton County, PA page 15, about the stone house a nd barn which are o n the original site of Peter's home. The second resid ence built there. "The Lesering homestead along Main Street in Cement on is a historical landmark. In 1766 the Leisering family bou ght 212 acr es from the 1759 grant of the Showalter family.

A large barn was built in 1794 and used as a dwelling until the cut sto ne family home was con structed in 1796. A large spring is on the land but only the foundations of the 1786 vintag e springhouse remain. (The Showalter family built the spring house foundation). This spring w as the sour ce of all water for Cementon (until) around 1892.

Behind the larger stone home is the residence a Leiserning son built for h is mother in 1816 . The barn and homes are in excellent repair.
