Peter married Catherine on March 26, 1799 in the Schwartzwald Reformed Church, Exeter, Berks Co., PA.

Peter moved to Somerset Co., some of his descendants still live there and in the surrounding areas. Mr. Richard J. Davis, a descendant of Peter's, wrote a book on Peter Speicher. Peter is referred to as Sr. to distinguish between him an his son. Peter was living in Quemahoning, Somerset Co., PA in the 1810 census. He purchased land from M. Speicher (Michael?). Peter Sr. is buried in a field near Jerome, PA. Mr. Davis' records and the records of Amos Fisher have similar dates for Peter Jr.'s birth and death. Mr. Davis' work was done separately from Mr. Fisher's.
