Peter le Marchant

Biography

Peter le Marchant was born in Guernsey. His parents were Honourable John le Marchant, Jurat and Collette de Beauvoir.

Peter married Elizabeth Perrin. Together they had the following children:

• John le Marchant;
• Elizabeth le Marchant;
• Peter-Thomas le Marchant;
• Thomas le Marchant.

Peter, the second son of John, married Elizabeth Perrin, by whom he had issue four sons, John, the eldest (who married 9th of February, 1688, Rachel Etur, by whom he had three daughters, viz. Elizabeth, wife of John Mauger ; Collette, wife of Peter Fiott ; and Esther, wife of Simon Effort), and Peter-Thomas, and Thomas, who died without issue ; and one daughter, Elizabeth, wife of Matthew Foudan, Seignior de Handois.
