Petronella Hudson

Per Hudson descendant Noel Odgers, Petronela was the daughter of Charles George Hudson (1728-80). He wrote that "a note by aunt Madeline [Hudson (1854-1910)] states that 'Charles George was a friend of Lord North [Francis North, 1713-92] Prime Minister of his day. His daughter Petronella carried Lady North's train at court.'"

The Gravestone (removed during renovation of Didsbury Church, Heaton Norris, Lancashire) was transcribed by Ellen Hudson (b. 1813) as follows:

"The following named Persons were Buried in this Grave. Ellin Hudson 5th Daughter of Charles George Hudson and Elizabeth his Wife Died Jan 1810 Aged 40 Years. Martha Hudson the Daughter of Edward Hudson Esq. & Ellen his Wife Born 2nd May Died in Aug 1815. Elizabeth Hudson Widow of Charles George Hudson Solicitor Staple Inn London Died Aug 16th 1826 Aged 84 Years. Elizabeth Hudson their 6th Daughter Died 13th March 1828 Aged 51 Years. Petronella their 3rd Daughter Died 18th Feb 1839 Aged 72 Years."
