Brief overview:

An elderly couple in Bonnievale, Western Cape, victims of a farm murder in South Africa. Both Petrus and Elsie Steyn were axed to death in their beds while they slept, as a thug raided the property and stole a vehicle that belonged to the pair. Their killer, Jeffrey Thompson, was arrested on 10th December 2018, for assaulting his 31-year-old girlfriend, Magdalene Willemien Simons, with an empty beer bottle in the face, seriously injuring her, but was released on bail by the Robertson Magistrate's Court. Two days later, he hacked the elderly couple to death.

Jeffrey Thompson, On December 12, 2018, entered Elsie's art studio, watched the couple going about their business in the main house. He slept in their bed in the art studio and he gained entry into the main property the following morning.
