Philipp Benesch

CAUTION: Do not confuse with Philipp Benisch who married a different woman and had children during a time period that overlapped when this Philipp married Amalia Lissa! (Unsubstantiated speculation: They may be 1st cousins.)

Philipp Benesch acquired Familiant status in Schlusselburg (Lnáře). Prachen HBF XIII/VI Inv. 123, Folio 105.

According to the Familiant record, Philipp was the son of Moses Benesch and an unknown mother from Deschenitz (Dešenice), and he married Abigail nee Lissa on August 8, 1812. (In other records, her name is given as Amalia or Rosalia).

Their children's births were not recorded in the vital records, but based upon other records, it appears that Philipp and Amalia had three children: a daughter Babette who never married; an unnamed daughter who died in infancy; and a son Abraham who was born about 1821.
