  • Phineas enlisted, 1777, in New London, Conn. He was placed on the pension roll of Chautauqua County, N. Y., for three years' actual service as private, Connecticut Line. He was born in Mansfield, Conn.; died in Poland, New York. Son of Phineas Allen Sr 1731 - 1776 and Alice Cady 1734 - 1764. Wife Sibbil BICKNELL died December 21, 1846 age 80; Daughter of Nathan BICKNELL and Katherine TIFFANY ; b. Nov. 7, 1766; m. Col. Phineas Allen Jr, . Six or seven children,-- Bicknell Genealogy)
