Biography
Phebe Denison, the ninth child of John Borodell Denison and Phoebe Lay, was born and Christened on 6 April 1690 <ref name="CS-Mounsey">Rev. Creighton Spencer-Mounsey. The BillingsFamily of Connecticut, Register (April 1927). p. 164. Avail at NEHG.</ref> at Stonington, Connecticut.
This Phebe Denison was a namesake for her earlier born (1668) sister who died young. She married Ebenezer Billings, son of Ensign Ebenezer Billings and Anne Comstock, on 2 Apr 1706. <ref name="CS-Mounsey"/> They had 11 children during the timespan through April 1732, all born at or near Stonington, Connecticut. Phebe (Denison) Billings died on 30 Dec. 1775 at age 85 <ref name="CS-Mounsey"/>, in or near Stonington, Connecticut.
