Phyllis Ivey Sammons

Phillis MNU Sammons was married to James Sammons, Jr., and then after his death she married Henry Ivey (c1695? – 1774); her maiden name is currently unknown.

Online information concerning Phillis Sammons confuses her second marriage with her maiden name, and lists her as Phillis Ivey Sammons. This error has led to the current brick wall concerning her parentage. Further research needs to be done in order to identify her correct maiden name - which was NOT Ivey.
